1796 Shipping Certificate Carrying Wine from Porto Portugal to London, England

Shipped by the grace of God, In good order and well conditioned by Joseph Monteiro de Almeida, in and upon the good ship Corso whereof is Malter, under God, for this prefent Voyage, Andrew Robinson and now riding at Anchor in the River Douro, and by God's grace, bound for to fay,
 London with Convoy.
Ten Pipes of Porto Wine
 
being mark'd and number'd as in the margin and are to be delivered in the like good order, and well condition'd, at the aforesaid Port of London. 9the danger of the seas, fire, and piratical robberies only excepted unto Mc Charles Benegan or to his Affgns, he or they paying Freight for the faid goods Four Pounds with primage and average accum'd. In winets whereof the Mater or Purfer of the faid Ship hath affirm'd to 4 Bills of landing, all of this Tenor and Date; the one of which 4 bills being accomlif'd, the other 3 flant void. And for God fend Ship to her defir'd Port in Safety. Amen. Dated in Porto The 28th Nov. 1796

As an side note twelve days after this was written the Battle of Cowpens would occur in South Carolina. This was to be an decisive American Victory.
Brig. Gen. Daniel Morgan defeated Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton and his army of British regulars. This is the turning point of the Revolution, as British troops never recovered from this defeat
